G.O.A.T Spells Simone Biles: Our Favorite Moments
In honor of Simone Biles celebrating her 28th birthday on Friday, it only seems right we give this Pisces queen her time in the Sportsish sun. To continue celebrating Women’s History Month, we put together a few of our favorite Simone Biles moments. From daring looks to incredible skill, Simone has all it takes to be the GOAT she is!
When Simone Completed the ‘Biles II”

Not only is Simone the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history, but she also has multiple skills in multiple events named after her. Completing a feat gymnasts only dream of, Simone has cemented her name in gymnastics history time and time again. With a total of 11 Olympic medals, Simone is the best in the world and really proved it in Paris last summer.

The ‘Biles II’ is a skill consisting of a Yurchenko vault with a double pike. This means she does a round-off backhandspring onto the vault table and then a double backflip before landing. Simone first competed this vault in 2023 during an international competition, hence why it is now named after her. Simone then brought it back out for the Paris Olympics during the individual vault competition, and she did not disappoint.
With the highest difficulty in women’s gymnastics, this vault has a 6.4 start value, meaning Simone was already stepping in front of her competitors. This might be one of our favorite Simone moments!
This Outfit from the Sidelines

Another top Simone moment was when she pulled out this insane fit. Showing out and showing up, Simone was seen on the sidelines supporting her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, during a game against the Seattle Seahawks this past season. A head-to-toe outfit dedicated to her hubby calls for some recognition.
Kelly Daley, the owner of the company “1 of 1 Customs,” was the creator behind this masterpiece, and we would love to see more of her work next season. Simone always came prepared with game-day fits to die for, and we are so ready for another NFL season filled with iconic pieces like this.
Girlhood = Meeting Zac Efron

A moment all of us girls can be equally jealous of was when Simone got to meet AND hug Zac Efron on live TV. During an interview with the Today Show during the 2016 Rio Olympics, Simone got to meet her celebrity crush, actor Zac Efron. Screaming and cheering just like any of us would, Simone proved she is just a girl and had the absolute correct reaction to meeting this hunk.
Giving a scene right out of High School Musical, Zac showed Simone all of his support and continues to do so to this day. Maybe there are perks to being the best in the world?
Simone in the Safari
On a much-needed vacation, Simone and Jonathan recently went on their belated honeymoon to South Africa. The pair married back in 2023 but took a few years between their wedding and honeymoon due to Simone being busy making sports history and Jonathan's NFL schedule. Filling our Instagram feeds with stunning photos of their trip, Simone slayed in a leopard print bikini fit for the safari and posted stories of some of the beautiful animals they encountered. Not only did this pair enjoy some much-needed away time, but they also made sure to show love to some villages in the area. Simone and Jonathan stopped by a local daycare, dropping off nutritional bars and blankets, and truly warmed our hearts.
Ending their trip, Simone took to her story to say, “Thank you South Africa. My heart is so full.” We know the pair had a great time, and truthfully, they earned it.
