Jack Draper: Our British Bachelor

  1. You know we love a London boy! Jack was born in southwest London, and he certainly embodies the city's British charm.

2. He plays tennis left-handed, even though he does everything else with his right hand. When asked why this is, he simply replied, “I don’t know. I’m just a weird guy”.

3. He has a large lightning-bolt tattoo on his left arm. He got it when he was 19 to represent his boldness.

4. He loves music and says he couldn’t live without it. To pump himself up, he likes to listen to rap music, including 50 Cent, Eminem, and Central Cee.

5. He partnered with the UK’s Alzheimer’s Society and is passionate about raising awareness and finding a cure for the cognitive disease. This is in honor of his grandmother, a former tennis player and coach who was one of his biggest supporters before losing her ability to recognize individuals. In December of 2024, he organized a charity walk with the Alzheimer’s Society and raised 4,000 pounds in support.

6. After struggling with injuries, Jack established himself as one of the top players coming into 2025 by winning the ATP 250 Stuttgart Open title in June, making it to the semifinals at the US Open in September, and winning the ATP 500 Vienna Open title in October.

7. He is honest about being “quite an anxious human being”. During his US Open semifinal match, he threw up several times and said his nerves contributed to the nausea after building up before and during the match. Mental health matters, and we are thankful for athletes like Jack who aren’t afraid to admit when they struggle, just like many of us.

8. He’s a Manchester United fan and tries his best to keep up with the football (what we call soccer, of course) matches, despite traveling internationally on the tour and being in different time zones.

9. He has a modeling side hustle, and with his looks, we understand why. He signed with IMG Models when he was 18 and is also an ambassador for Burberry, a British luxury brand.

10. True to our nickname for him, he is currently single. In an interview with “The Sunday Times,” he said what is most important at this time in his life is becoming the best tennis player he can be. He would ideally meet someone naturally on dating apps. Does anyone want to take a trip to London during the next offseason?

Mirra Andreeva: Our Teen Queen

  1. Mirra is currently on an impressive winning streak, earning her 12th win in a row after winning Indian Wells. This is also her 5th consecutive victory over a top-10 opponent, beating world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and world No. 2 Iga Swiatek back-to-back in her journey to the Indian Wells title.

2. Mirra admits to being a regular teenager despite her tennis success. During a press conference at the 2024 French Open, she revealed, “I would say that I am almost like a normal teenager because I still have to do my school that I don’t like to do. I watch a lot of TV series in my spare time. I watch Netflix. I sometimes spend too much time on my Instagram”. We love a relatable queen.

3. She’s not the only talented tennis player in her family. Her older sister, 20-year-old Erika, also plays professionally on the WTA tour and has a career-high ranking of #65, which she achieved in October 2024. The two sisters actually faced each other that month at the Wuhan Open, where Erika beat Mirra 6-3, 6-1.

4. She’s currently waiting to get a dog after her mom promised to buy her one if she broke into the Top 20. She’s dreaming of an ultra mini labradoodle, and we don’t know if we can handle the cuteness of that pair.

5. One of her breakout moments was during the 2024 Australian Open when she dominantly beat No. 6 seed Ons Jabeur 6-0, 6-2, and announced herself as someone to watch out for on tour. It was an especially meaningful moment for Mirra as she mentioned how Ons served as one of her biggest inspirations as she turned pro.

6. She loves Andy Murray. After she won her third-round match at the 2024 Australian Open after her opponent had a match point, the British tennis legend gave her a shoutout on X for her mental strength. In an adorable response to learning about this, she said: “Honestly, I will try to print it out somehow. I don’t know, I will put it in a frame. I will bring it everywhere with me. I will maybe put it on the wall so I can see it every day”. We totally get it, we would react the same way if our idol complimented us online.

7. Despite her bright smile, she enters the court fueled partly by anger. One of the toughest challenges players face comes not from the court but from the media, who can relentlessly criticize and pressure up-and-coming players.  Mirra uses this to get angry before her matches, channeling both as motivation to prove to herself she has what it takes to face those challenges and win tough matches.

8. In an effort to get into the champion mindset, she listened to a LeBron James interview before playing in the Indian Wells final. In this speech, he talked about being 100% mentally even if you don’t feel 100% physically, and Mirra took that to heart. We love her respect for the GOATs and eagerness to become one herself.

9. Mirra was born in Russia and trained in the capital city of Moscow when she was younger. At the Paris Olympics, she and fellow Russian 20-year-old Diana Shnaider competed as Individual Neutral Athletes and won silver in the women’s tennis doubles.

10. As our Teen Queen, Mirra is the youngest player to enter the top 10 in the past 18 years and the youngest ever to win a 1000-level title with her win at the Dubai Tennis Championships. Who knows what history she will make next?
