Taylor is the Ultimate Hype Girl

It is no secret that Taylor Swift loves to support others. I think I speak for everyone when I say I wish I were a member of her "squad." Being friends with Taylor comes with the perks of Eras Tour tickets, sleepovers, and homemade baked goods, but also a loyal, die-hard friend for life. Beyond her "squad," consisting of Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, and more, Taylor has always supported athletes.

This past week, Taylor Swift showed her support and shared her congratulations with several athletes. One of them was Iga Świątek, who emerged victorious at the French Open and then quickly moved on to the Eras Tour in Liverpool. After her wins, Taylor surprised Iga with a heartfelt handwritten note, which Iga shared a glimpse with her fans on social media. The touching gesture from Taylor undoubtedly added to the memorable nature of Iga's already incredible week! We can only assume the note came straight from the desk of the Touretd Poets Department.

Taylor also showed support for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the entire Chiefs organization this week. On Thursday, June 13, the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their Super Bowl win and received their championship rings. Despite being thousands of miles away and in a different time zone after delivering an electrifying 100th sold-out show, Taylor made a surprise appearance on a livestream to express her love and support for Travis and the team. She shared her love for the team, commenting, "YESSSSSS" and "AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE".

Taylor has fully embraced Kansas City and has even hosted events for fellow WAGS throughout the season. When the Chiefs traveled to Germany to face the Miami Dolphins, Taylor hosted a group of WAGS in New York to watch the game together. Paige Bueckers and Lyndsay Bell were seen leaving Taylor's apartment, and there were rumors that more WAGS were present. Taylor also invited Brittany Mahomes for a night out with her entire "squad" in NYC. She sat alongside the WAGS all season, making multiple appearances on their social media accounts.

Taylor's love for athletes was evident long before her relationship with Travis Kelce. During her 1989 World Tour in 2015, Taylor continuously surprised her audiences by inviting special guests to join her on stage at almost every show. These guests included a diverse mix of individuals, ranging from well-known actresses like Olivia Benson, after whom Taylor named one of her cats, to prominent athletes like Kobe Bryant. Taylor ensured that each guest felt genuinely welcomed and at ease as she passionately performed her hit song "Style."

During her MetLife Stadium stop, Taylor welcomed the US Women's National Soccer Team members after their 2015 World Cup Win. Alex Morgan led the pack, holding the Cup, before the team sang and danced with Taylor and the crowd. Taylor's love and support for the USWNT did not end on the stage that night. Five years later, Taylor narrated a hype video as the USWNT sought gold in the 2020 Olympics. If you are ever in need of some motivation, I highly recommend watching and listening to the video. It will undoubtedly make you feel like The Man (pun fully intended).

When the 1989 World Tour stopped in LA at the Staples Center, basketball legend Kobe Bryant joined her on stage. During his appearance, Kobe surprised Taylor by unveiling a banner marking Taylor's 16 sold-out show at the Staples Center. Since then, Taylor has continued to crush records. Taylor has also continued to support the Bryant family. Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant tragically passed away on January 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash. In the aftermath of this devastating loss, Taylor Swift has shown tremendous kindness and support to Kobe's surviving daughters. Taylor has not only given them heartfelt gifts but has also worn a necklace engraved with Kobe's powerful words, "Bet on yourself." During her tour stop in LA, Taylor honored Bianka, Kobe's 7-year-old daughter, in a touching way. She gifted Bianka the hat she wears during her performance of "22", creating a beautiful full-circle moment as Taylor returned the support that Kobe had shown her years before. This gesture was a heartwarming reminder of the deep connection and mutual respect between the Bryant family and Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift is truly a gem. Her genuine warmth extends to her interactions with fans, family, and even strangers." Through her vocal support for important causes, she inspires others to follow suit. Living in the Taylor Swift era is a privilege; one can only hope it endures indefinitely.
