“Love Without the Fear of Getting Hurt”: Tianna Robillard Opens Up About Heartbreak
Tianna Robillard and Cody Ford had a picture-perfect relationship on social media. Between their cute behind-the-scenes videos and adorable game day moments, it was impossible to stay away from them. In April 2024, the NFL guard proposed to the content creator, sealing their fate as forever teammates. However, just months later, Tianna revealed the relationship was over. This week, Tianna made her podcast debut on Alix Earle’s “Hot Mess”, sharing the heartbreaking details about the end of their relationship.
The pair’s story begins in February 2022, after Tianna moved to Dallas for her job. Her coworker and a large group of friends suggested that she meet Cody. Once Tianna discovered he was a football player, she said no, but was later convinced after she realized a mean guy would not hang out with this group. The two met and became official in April 2022. Tianna describes their early meetings as “a slow burn”.
After making their partnership official, the two practically became inseparable. They spent the NFL season in Cincinnati and then returned to Dallas for relaxing off-seasons together. In November 2023, with Cody’s full support, Tianna quit her 9-5 to do social media full-time. Within 48 hours of her quitting, her following tripled. Everyone had their eyes on them.

Throughout the interview, Tianna mentioned that the early stages of their relationship were met with trials and tribulations, specifically noting that there were “trust issues”. Tianna and Cody started “intensive” couples therapy to save the relationship. In April 2024, Cody proposed and the two were overjoyed with this. Tianna explained that she was so ready for marriage and that Cody's proposal felt like they finally living a healthy and trusting relationship.
Unfortunately, about a month later, things took a turn for the worse. Tianna was on a girls trip in Paris and knew something was off. She was given a huge work opportunity but had to decline since it did not work with Cody’s preseason schedule. Instead of encouraging his partner, and fiance, to do it, Cody asked her not to since it was not convenient for him. That night, Tianna prayed to God and asked him to “slap her in the face” with a sign that she wasn’t supposed to be in this relationship.

The day she returned from Paris, Tianna went live on TikTok and noticed a fan sending her this recurring message about her relationship. Tianna ended the live and started chatting with this fan, who had all the receipts suggesting that Cody was cheating. The fan had the couple’s address in Cincinnati and multiple screenshots. At this point, Tianna knew in her heart this was not simply a crazy fan, but rather that her relationship was over.
The next day, with the help of her friends, Tianna packed her car and left. One of the saddest parts of this is that Tianna had to leave everything that Cody still gets to enjoy. She left her house, her dogs, and her life in Dallas. After talking to Cody, who was speaking as if “she was staying”, Tianna posted this TikTok to share the devastating news with fans. Immediately, Tianna was met with love and support from a majority of fans.
However, she did have her fair share of “boys”, as she calls them, not men, sending messages of hate. Tianna discussed how these messages made her question her entire relationship. The biggest thing Tianna questioned was Cody’s acceptance of her success. Tianna even started to question if Cody ever loved her the way he claimed he did.

Despite the heartbreak she’s felt, Tianna’s continued to live her life with love, grace, and excitement. She remains positive about her future relationships and is very much still ready to be married. Tianna is currently based in California, traveling all over the state, and the rest of the country for that matter.
Tianna ended the interview with advice for anyone experiencing a breakup, or anyone who needs the motivation to leave a toxic relationship. Her best advice: “Love without the fear of getting hurt.” She wants us all to know there is nothing embarrassing about loving someone wholeheartedly and truly giving someone your all, even if it does not work out.
