Best moments from the 2024 ESPYs
Last night marked the prestigious ESPYs, an acronym for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards. The event, a perfect blend of sports, pop culture, and fashion in true Sportsish style, certainly lived up to its reputation. Here’s a recap of the most memorable moments from the night.

There were various awards and winners, but some of the highlights include
Best Athlete, Women’s Sports: A’ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces
Best Athlete, Men’s Sports: Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Best Team: South Carolina Women’s Basketball
Best Breakthrough Athlete: JuJu Watkins, USC Basketball
Best Comeback Athlete: Simone Biles, Gymnastics
Best Record-Breaking Performance: Caitlin Clark, Iowa Basketball
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, won the Pat Tillman Award for Service for founding The Invictus Games, an event for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women, including veterans. His wife, Meghan Markle, even made an appearance and attended the event with him.
On the red carpet, athletes made a statement with their fashion choices, donning designer pieces that showcased their unique styles and turned heads.
Always serving on and off the court- Host for the night, Serena Williams wore Armani Privé on the carpet.
Lamar Jackson rocked a simple black suit, and a gold chain.
Paige Bueckers stood out in a lilac suit fresh off of KidSuper’s runway.
Livvy Dunne sparkled in a golden pleated dress designed by Sherri Hill.
Like any award show, there were tons of funny moments, but the one that takes the cake is Serena, Venus Williams, and Quinta Brunson’s dig at Harrison Butker after his viral controversial commencement speech a couple months ago.
It was an unforgettable night that celebrated all sporting achievements from the last year, in both men’s and women’s sports.
